Download the engine Free

You enter your contact info and the install-site street address at walkernash.com/download. We issue a serial-numbered binary tied to that location — the engine knows where it lives.

License unit is location, not device. A consultant carrying a laptop to multiple client sites needs one engine install per location.

2

Install it on your hardware Free

Crucible runs on a 32 GB-RAM mini-PC that you buy from any vendor at street price. We don't resell hardware. The installer is a single command; the dashboard comes up at localhost on the box.

No demo mode. The dashboard you'll use forever is the dashboard you see on day one.

3

Use the dashboard Free

Every button is live. Click anywhere — gap query, deadline view, document checklist, audit packet, chat — and you'll see what the surface does, plus a prompt to complete the business survey that produces your facility's regulatory database. The UX you're evaluating is the real one.

4

Complete the business survey Free

Twelve questions about your facility — vertical, jurisdiction, accreditations, document inventory, regulatory pressures. The survey is tied to the engine's serial number / install site, so we know exactly what to build.

Multi-vertical or multi-state at one site? You list them all here. One Sage subscription per active vertical — see pricing.

5

We build your custom regulatory database ~1 business day

Sage scrapes the federal, state, and accreditor surfaces relevant to your survey, normalizes the rules and standards, builds the bespoke database, signs it, and queues it for your install package. We email you when it's ready.

If your vertical isn't yet supported by Sage, we'll let you know on submission and add you to a build waitlist — no charge.

6

Pay month one $495 first month

Stripe paywall on the Sage subscription. The first month covers the labor of the build above — there is no separate install or setup fee. Choose month-to-month, recurring auto-bill, or annual prepay (~10% discount) at checkout.

After month 1, the price drops $20/month for 9 months. Your ramp is locked at signup — no price increase reaches you during it. Today's flat rate is $295/mo (month 10+). See pricing.

7

Install the database, go operational ~30 minutes

Payment confirmed. The download portal opens once for your install package. The compliance officer pulls it onto a USB or over your local network, runs the activation script, and the engine is live with your bespoke database.

Each subsequent successful Stripe charge reopens the portal so the daily Sage delta can be pulled. Stop paying and the portal closes; existing data stays, new updates pause.

End-to-end: typically 2 business days from download to operational

Free download and install are immediate. Dashboard interactivity is immediate. Survey to operational install is usually 1–2 business days, gated by build complexity and the buyer's pace through Stripe. You commit money only at step 6, after you've used the dashboard and seen the survey output.

Common questions

What if I download the engine and never complete the survey?

Nothing happens. The engine sits idle on your hardware with the dashboard prompts inviting you to start the survey. We don't follow up, don't drip-campaign, don't pursue. The product sells itself or it doesn't.

Can I move the engine to a different facility later?

The engine is bound to the install-site address you provided at download. Moving it to a different facility means downloading a fresh copy under that new address, completing a new survey, and starting a new Sage subscription. Each location's regulatory profile differs enough that this is the right unit anyway.

Hardware reactivation at the same address (after a hardware failure, etc.) is supported via the standard activation flow — no new survey, no new fee.

What's the chat surface and how does it stay private?

Every Sage subscription includes a BYOK chat surface — bring your own API key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or a self-hosted model. Your facility / resident / staff identifiers are tokenized locally before any prompt leaves the engine; the cloud API sees opaque tokens, not real names.

Every claim in the API's response is fact-checked locally against your regulatory database before the officer sees it. Officer-facing labels: verified-against-corpus, corpus-disagrees (with the corpus version shown), or exploratory-not-corpus-verified. The audit-defensible work product is the deterministic surface; chat is research that informs it.

What happens if I cancel?

The update portal closes on the first failed charge. Your existing regulatory database stays exactly as it was — the engine keeps running, the dashboard keeps working, all queries against the existing data keep returning. Sage deltas stop arriving, so the corpus gradually goes stale. Resume the subscription any time and the next charge reopens the portal.

What if my vertical isn't supported yet?

Sage covers an expanding set of verticals and jurisdictions. If your survey falls outside that set, we'll let you know on submission and add your vertical to the build waitlist at no charge. We don't take a survey we can't yet fulfill.

Start at step 1.

The engine is free. The dashboard is real. You decide whether to subscribe after you've used it.
